Super Smash Bros. is the definition when it comes to celebrating video games as the series has evolved bringing a wide variety of guest characters fans never expected to happen. With Super Smash Bros. Ultimate we saw the additions of Steve from Minecraft, Joker from Persona 5, Banjo-Kazooie, Sora, and a lot more.
Somehow there are still a ton of characters that should be in Super Smash Bros and many that are highly requested by fans. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate features 89 playable characters ranging from third-party franchises to Nintendo franchises.
We are going to give a list of 3 characters that we think should be considered for what’s next in Super Smash Bros.
3. Crono

Chrono Trigger from Square Enix is arguably one of the most beloved SNES games of all time. The 1995 role-playing video game eventually made its way to PlayStation 1 and Nintendo DS. Thinking about it for some time it’s actually surprising to see Crono not make his way to Super Smash Bros. He would make a perfect fighter in the game, but the downside of it he’d be just another swordfighter.
On the Super Nintendo, Chrono Trigger went on to sell more than 3.5 million copies worldwide. Today, it’s available to play on Steam. It’s surprising that Crono isn’t in Smash Bros, but what’s really needed is a remaster or remake of the original Chrono Trigger. That’s a story for a different day.
2. Waluigi

Dozens of Nintendo games feature Waluigi including pretty much all of the Super Mario Party games, sports games, Mario Kart, and anything else that is more of a party title. Not only is it crazy that Waluigi doesn’t have his own game, but it’s even crazier to think he does not have a spot on any Super Smash Bros. roster.
When they said “Everyone Is Here” when Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was announced, you could argue they were lying since Waluigi wasn’t part of the mix. What would Waluigi’s moves be in Super Smash Bros? That would remain to be seen, but what we do know it’d be one of the most interesting things to see.
We hope Sakurai has Walugi part of his plans for what’s coming next in the Super Smash Bros. series.
1. Master Chief

Eventually, Masahiro Sakurai has to finish the fight and retire from developing the best platform fighting game series. There’s no better way to do it than with the Master Chief from the highly successful Halo franchise.
Halo was the start of FPS games on consoles with the original Xbox back in 2001 when Combat Evolved took over the world. As it stands, the Halo franchise has sold over 81 million games since that time. Although things haven’t always looked great for the series as of late I think we all would appreciate the Spartan making an appearance in Super Smash Bros.
How would Master Chief work in a fighting game? That is the biggest question when it comes to this fighter who only knows how to fight with his M40 Assault Rifle and a few Frag Grenades along the way.
It always seemed like The Arbiter was the better option to be in fighting games and he has already been added to two of them – Killer Instinct and Brawlhalla.
These are only three of many other fighters that should be considered for Super Smash Bros, but we felt these were definitely a must.
Who do you think should join Super Smash Bros?
