The Star Fox IP has all of a sudden received a resurgence this month when Nintendo announced that Fox McCloud will be featured in The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Since the movie’s release, there have been reports of a new Star Fox game planned for release this year.
Nate The Hate shared on his podcast that a new Star Fox game that has a “classic” feel to it will be released in Summer 2026. There is now an expectation that this new game will be announced in April, either through a social media post or on Nintendo Today.
When responding to a user on Twitter, Nate made it clear he mentioned that the new Star Fox announcement will be this month:

Interestingly, lately, there have been reports of Nintendo spreading false leaks to potentially catch leakers. However, it is hard to believe Nintendo won’t do something with Fox McCloud after having him included in the Mario movie that has now reached over $500 million at the box office.
